This painting evokes the liminal space between waking reality and the vast expanse of dream. A shoreline bathed in golden light meets a horizon shrouded in deep blue, while the sky unfolds in dramatic layers of green, ochre, and indigo. The brushstrokes are turbulent yet luminous, suggesting both the restlessness of thought and the serenity of surrender. It is a work of thresholds — between land and water, night and day, consciousness and reverie.

Gândurile pictorului

When I painted this canvas, I was not seeking a landscape, but a state of being. The edge of the water became for me the edge of thought, the place where silence starts to dissolve into imagination. The sky carried my unrest, yet also my longing for stillness. I felt as though I was standing between two worlds — one that fades, one that begins. This work is my confession: I have always lived, in part, at the edge of the dream.
