It is a fleeting miracle that rarely happens in nature, yet it exists in the painter’s imagination. I felt a joy that was almost childlike — the kind of joy that comes when everything around you is alive, radiant, and unafraid of passing. Painting this garden, I wanted to hold that fleeting eternity in color.
