Gândurile pictorului

When I painted this canvas, I felt the need to place life’s contrasts side by side. The flowers are joy, excess, the fire of existence, while the quince is silence, humility, and memory. The jug rises like a vessel of abundance, yet it is the small quince that completes the story. I wanted to show that beauty is not only in the spectacular, but also in the discreet presence of what we often overlook. For me, this painting is a dialogue between celebration and simplicity — both equally necessary.
