Three Romanian Visions in Zrenjanin
An international cultural manifest by Cupola ProArte, bringing together three defining visual perspectives of contemporary Banat art.
CUPOLA PROARTE: MANIFEST – Three Romanian Visions in Zrenjanin
The “Cupola ProArte” Cultural Association has the distinct pleasure of inviting you to its inaugural international exhibition, an event-project titled “MANIFEST”. Hosted by a prestigious institution—the Contemporary Gallery of the Ečka Art Colony in Zrenjanin—the exhibition brings together a compelling visual dialogue among three artists from Timișoara.
Positioned as a true cross-border artistic manifesto, the exhibition offers the public an encounter with three distinct creative identities that mutually complement and elevate one another:
- Mihai Teodor Olteanu exhibits medium- and large-format works, bringing into the gallery space the unmistakable energy, vibration, and chromatic force that define his signature style.
- Ada Ghenciu commands the visual space through sweeping, monumental compositions that dictate the rhythm of the exhibition environment and invite the viewer into profound contemplation.
- Florin Drăgoi introduces an intimate and dynamic cadence, his works weaving a captivating narrative trajectory that draws the audience toward nuance and refinement.
“MANIFEST” represents Cupola ProArte’s resolute commitment to building enduring cultural bridges between Timișoara and Zrenjanin, bringing contemporary Romanian art to one of the Republic of Serbia’s most esteemed and historic art institutions.
We warmly invite you to join us for the opening reception!

Zrenjanin: An Arc Across Time
For master artist Mihai Teodor Olteanu, the city of Zrenjanin holds profound historical and emotional significance. Immediately following the 1989 Revolution, this Serbian cultural center became the very first place outside of Romania’s borders where the artist held a solo exhibition.
Today, through the “MANIFEST” project, his return to Zrenjanin transcends a mere gallery presentation to become a deeply evocative arc across time. Coming back to the city of his international debut—this time alongside his peers from the Cupola ProArte association—represents a heartfelt reconnection with a space that, more than three decades ago, first opened its doors to his European affirmation.
„For me, Zrenjanin is not just a city on the map, it is the emotion of the first free step. Here I exhibited for the first time after the Revolution, finding an open window to the world. Returning today to this wonderful place alongside my colleagues is like retying an invisible thread woven from memories, gratitude, and vibrant color.”
