The Magic of the Cupola: Light, Hope, and Love
Light, Hope, and Love in the Heart of Timișoara – A landmark exhibition presented under the auspices of the Projects Center.
Light, Hope, and Love in the Heart of Timișoara
“Color is my silent prayer to God, and the canvas is the altar upon which I place it.” – Mihai Teodor Olteanu
There are moments when art becomes a prayer, and the gallery walls transform into a sanctuary of rediscovery. On the threshold of the Easter holidays, we invite you to pause for a moment from the city’s commotion and cross the threshold of the “Magic of the Dome” exhibition.
Many of you know Master Mihai Teodor Olteanu as the “Painter of the Revolution,” an artist who committed history and upheaval to canvas. Yet this exhibition is a quiet return “home.” It is the echo of that secret calling he first felt at just three years old, hidden among the walls of the church in Luduș.
We present to you, for the first time, an intimate selection of modern devotional art and new miniatures. These are not merely works caussed with gold leaf, but windows into a profound peace, inspired by Byzantine art yet filtered through the artist’s pure sensitivity and expressiveness.
More than a simple exhibition, we invite you into a living studio. For two weeks, the master will relocate his easel to the Center for Projects. He will be there daily, painting before your eyes. It is an open invitation to dialogue, to watch colors spring to life, and, naturally, to share a kind thought.
The opening moment will be one of rare emotion, dedicated to the soul.
